Meet at the Waialua Estate Office 67-202 Kupahu St in Waialua on Oahu’s North Shore (see map).
Guests take a 30 minute stroll through the orchard and learn about this unique crop from Mike Conway, manager of Dole Diversified Agriculture. The 20-acre cacao orchard is situated at sea level along the banks of the Kaukonahua River near Waialua town.
Then caravan back to theWaialua Sugar Mill to learn about the preparation of raw cacao including cracking, fermenting and drying.
After the tour guests will we able to shop in the Island X store and at the Waialua Farmers Market.
Tours will cost $10 and include a 50 gram box of Waialua Estate Dark Chocolate.
